When I went to a church last fall for a turkey dinner, I noticed on their bulletin board that they were offering a Bible study. Since I am now retired, I was looking for something to do besides watch TV and surf the Internet. So I asked the pastor if the study was for church members only, or could anyone come. She said anyone was welcome. They meet one morning a week and I've been going to it since last November. We read a chapter, the discuss it with the pastor's guidance. I am familiar with the Bible, having read it through 5 times. If there a question at the study, I usually give the others that attend a chance to answer (the other attendees are senior woman), but more often than not, they just sit there and look uneasy, so then I chime in. Sometimes the pastor is so impressed with my answers that she writes them down what I say to use in her sermons, commenting that I am inspired (or something to that effect). However, when that happens, the other study members usually give me sidelong annoyed glances when I speak and especially if it impresses the pastor. Why should what I say bother them so?

Some people sell them and I'm sure there are some greedy scalpers out there. But some people find out they can't attend, so make a few bucks. People are willing to BUY them--so WHAT? Once a party is awarded the tickets, aren't they an asset he can sell? It's not illegal to buy them. The point is, now Antique's Roadshow is monitoring Ebay, and if they find someone sells their tickets, they are cancelling ticket numbers. So a perfectly innocent person or pair of persons may drive hundreds of miles to the Roadshow, only to find the tickets are no good because they were "purchased" online. THERE AREN'T THAT MANY BEING SOLD ONLINE!!!!! I think it's just a part of show business that all these antique experts putting on the show need to accept--don't you? She has horrid breath. We have had her teeth cleaned twice in the last year. It is huge expensive and I am afraid of the general anesthesia. Should I take my 5year old to the ER ?

Ok so my 5yr old started running fever Monday afternoon so I took her to urgent care Monday night the dr. did a rapid strep test that was negative but he still sent a 2nd test to the lab and prescribed her an antibiotic. I have been rotating tylenol and motrin and started her on her antibiotics. Last night her fever reached 104.9 so I took her back to urgent care this time this Dr. said that he thinks it might be mano so he drew blood and sent it to the lab, results should be in tomorrow. He also gave her a different antibiotic. So today her fever didnt really go above 102 but now after a cool bath and cold packs her fever is back up to 104. Could there be an underlying problem that the Doctors just arent catching? Should I take her to the ER again its been about an hr since I gave her more tylenol and the fever still has not gone down. I'm not a first time mom that is just freaking out she is our youngest of 4 and we have been through the whole fever thing before with her and the others but none of their fevers have ever lasted this long or seemed this bad. I always say trust your instinct as a parent but I have already been to the urgent care twice should I ask for a blood culture to be done?

HELP! My sons father is taking me to court for FULL CUSTODY!!?

I am 22 year old single mother of a 2 year old boy, my sons father is 23 years old and we both have shared custody of our son but here is the problem.. He is taking me to court for FULL CUSTODY I got a knock on my door at around 11AM in the morning from his LITTLE SISTER giving me court papers and I didn't handle it very well so I broke down crying infront of her and asking her why she stated for me to ask her brother. The papers showed that he filed for court on me on MAY 12, But I got the papers MAY 31st !!! He gave it to me late notice and court was about 26 days away from that date, I have court on June 30th at 11AM. I live in Canada Toronto, Ontario. I breastfed my son for 5 months, I lived with my mother since my son was 1 years old and then got my own apartment after that but before that i was living with my mother and she was helping me with everything, I took my son to all his doctors appointments, I had him full time since he was 3 months old and after that his father had him for the weekends I was nice enough to do that for him, He NEVER PAYED CHILD SUPPORT only until we had an incident that happened on my sons birthday when I punched my sons father in the face because he said something horrible to me that I couldn't take in, him and his sister both forcefully took me out of the car (his sisters car) and tried driving off wiht my son in the car I called the police and the call turned out on me because him and sister stated i punched him in the face while she was driving and me and my son were in the back seat. The police asked them if they wanted to press charges on me and they said No, and they asked if my sons father was paying child support and he said no and they said he needs to start! I am not going to lie and say that did not happen it did but i appologized but because she told the police that they got childrens aid involved but the lady came to my house hold and she seen that my apartment was CLEAN there was food in the FRIDGE AND CUBBOARDS, and that my son was well taken care of. I am not rich I am on assistant since I WAS a full time mother. in December my sons father took my son to MEXICO he begged me and I told him no (reason because i felt my son was to young of age and i was afraid of all the sickness or dangers he can go through) he got his parents who reside in Mexico to call me and I said yes because they were begging for about an hour on the phone) I signed the papers for him to leave the country just to be nice. before that in October 2010 he automatically took my son from me full time and put him in daycare without my consent! and I ended up having him on the weekends ever since and still do. I missed some weekends but only because I am looking for work! I haven't found work yet but I am trying and I want my son to be with me Mon-Fri and his fathers to have him on the weekends I am a good mother there is no reason for me to not have my son, I do not do drugs or alcohol or believe in abuse! He has money I am on welfare how will I win this case my sons fathers girlfirend (that he cheated on me with when i was 7 and half months pregnant is on the daycare papers and she picks my son up from daycare. I don't work and my sons father lives with his sisters in a condo and works a 9-5 Job so I have no clue of why he wants my son full time I can have more time with my son as I do not work! he lied on the court papers and said my house is DIRTY, I have no FOOD, and that my hallway stinks of marijuana (my neighbors smoke alllllll daay) and stinks up the hallway. My house is CLEAN, and I do have food in the fridge I make sure to put breakfast lunch and dinner on the table at ALL times when my son is with me! I spoke with my sons father and he even appologized to me for assuming that i do not have food and all that stuff but he said he wants mondays to fridays and that he wants me to have weekends, but on the court papers he put SOLE CUSTODY and said I can only have SUPERVISED VISITS as if I am some crack head or something! Even my mother had to tell him he is in the wrong but he is doing this for his girlfirend and his sisters because if he was doing what was best for his son he would know mom is best for fulltime care giver! he even put the incident of when I punched him in his face on the court papers !! I spoke with him the other day and he said he would not take me to court if we can have a decent agreement so instead of going looking for a lawyer I left it alone, but he told me just 2 days ago that he will be taking me and that he will see me in court and that he has a GOOD lawyer and that I do too and I told him I don't have a lawyer and he said oh well see you there and hanged up on me ! Court is on thursday.........I have NO Lawyer, No nothing.. the onlly thing I have is witness what am I to do and I haven't seen my son in 2 weeks he is KEEPING MY SON FROM ME! Are the cards going to be OK?

A friend of mine is cleaning out his house and he gave me a bunch of baseball cards from 1980 to the early 1990's. One problem: the cards are in the vinyl pages that have pvc in them which is unsafe for the cards. I gave away the cards that looked like there was already damage on them such as bubbling on the surface of the card or discoloring and kept the ones that look fine but the ones I kept still stink from being in the pages. Are the cards I kept fine and will the smell go away after a while or will they start to deteriorate like the ones I gave away? Does it sound like i have an infection, almost 5 months after giving birth?

Could I get accepted into University of Washington?

University of Washington has been my number one choice for years, and I just finished my junior year of high school. My unweighted GPA is a 3.3, but weighted is 4.2. I just took the ACT for the first time a month ago, and I got a 26. I'm retaking it tomorrow though, and planning to get a 28+. I've done a lot of volunteer work around the community, interned at a research center, been involved in band and pep band, and have even started a club at my school this year, similiar to Model U.N. I know my unweighted GPA is a bit low, and so is my ACT score, but I'm aiming for all A's next year as a senior. I have not taken the SAT yet, but I heard that is important for out of state colleges (I live in Colorado). Based on GPA, ACT, volunteer work, and extracurriculars, would I be able to get accepted to University of Washington?

HELP! My sons father is taking me to court for FULL CUSTODY!!?

I am 22 year old single mother of a 2 year old boy, my sons father is 23 years old and we both have shared custody of our son but here is the problem.. He is taking me to court for FULL CUSTODY I got a knock on my door at around 11AM in the morning from his LITTLE SISTER giving me court papers and I didn't handle it very well so I broke down crying infront of her and asking her why she stated for me to ask her brother. The papers showed that he filed for court on me on MAY 12, But I got the papers MAY 31st !!! He gave it to me late notice and court was about 26 days away from that date, I have court on June 30th at 11AM. I live in Canada Toronto, Ontario. I breastfed my son for 5 months, I lived with my mother since my son was 1 years old and then got my own apartment after that but before that i was living with my mother and she was helping me with everything, I took my son to all his doctors appointments, I had him full time since he was 3 months old and after that his father had him for the weekends I was nice enough to do that for him, He NEVER PAYED CHILD SUPPORT only until we had an incident that happened on my sons birthday when I punched my sons father in the face because he said something horrible to me that I couldn't take in, him and his sister both forcefully took me out of the car (his sisters car) and tried driving off wiht my son in the car I called the police and the call turned out on me because him and sister stated i punched him in the face while she was driving and me and my son were in the back seat. The police asked them if they wanted to press charges on me and they said No, and they asked if my sons father was paying child support and he said no and they said he needs to start! I am not going to lie and say that did not happen it did but i appologized but because she told the police that they got childrens aid involved but the lady came to my house hold and she seen that my apartment was CLEAN there was food in the FRIDGE AND CUBBOARDS, and that my son was well taken care of. I am not rich I am on assistant since I WAS a full time mother. in December my sons father took my son to MEXICO he begged me and I told him no (reason because i felt my son was to young of age and i was afraid of all the sickness or dangers he can go through) he got his parents who reside in Mexico to call me and I said yes because they were begging for about an hour on the phone) I signed the papers for him to leave the country just to be nice. before that in October 2010 he automatically took my son from me full time and put him in daycare without my consent! and I ended up having him on the weekends ever since and still do. I missed some weekends but only because I am looking for work! I haven't found work yet but I am trying and I want my son to be with me Mon-Fri and his fathers to have him on the weekends I am a good mother there is no reason for me to not have my son, I do not do drugs or alcohol or believe in abuse! Even my mother had to tell him he is in the wrong but he is doing this for his girlfirend and his sisters because if he was doing what was best for his son he would know mom is best for fulltime care giver! he even put the incident of when I punched him in his face on the court papers !! I spoke with him the other day and he said he would not take me to court if we can have a decent agreement so instead of going looking for a lawyer I left it alone, but he told me just 2 days ago that he will be taking me and that he will see me in court and that he has a GOOD lawyer and that I do too and I told him I don't have a lawyer and he said oh well see you there and hanged up on me ! Court is on thursday.........I have NO Lawyer, No nothing.. the onlly thing I have is witness what am I to do and I haven't seen my son in 2 weeks he is KEEPING MY SON FROM ME! It is your job as a parent to make sure your child is well taken care of. This includes second hand smoke. If they want to watch your baby they should provide a non-smoking environment if that is what you request. There are tons of studies about the danger of second hand smoke you might want to bring some along to back you up. Good luck.

How to minimize the oder of the Cats litter box.?

i got a kitten a week ago from my sisters friend, shes a couple months old. and we keep her litter box in our laundry room, only problem is, is that- thats where we hang our shirts to dry and theres no where else to put the box. My sons father is taking me to court for SOLE CUSTODY!!?

I am 22 years old (full time mother) to a 2 and half year old beautiful boy. I am on welfare and have a nice apartment (not housing) and I also get support from my mother she has been buying me groceries for 2 and half years since my sons father refuses to pay child support. My sons father is 23 years old and has A lot of money, he has a lawyer and I don't and HE FILED COURT ON ME! We both have shared custody since we are both on the birth certificate. I am a stay at home mom, I have been taking care of my child and so has he but he started paying me $198 a month for about 5 months because my social worker demanded it. in October my sons father put my son in daycare Without My Consent!!! and stopped paying me child support all of a sudden!! I went to my social worker and they gave me a paper to show me how much he owes me in child support including the times hes missed and including INTEREST! My sons father makes me have him on the weekends now but I personally think he is doing this because his girlfirend (That he has cheated on me with when I was 7 and half months pregnant) Keeps telling him to take me to court and get SOLE custody and the court papers say he wants me to have supervised visits as if I'm some crack head or something (I DO NOT DO DRUGS) I am a good mother and take care of my son better then my sons father (his sisters and his girlfirned take care of my son and pick him up from day care since my sons father works 9-5 Job) when my son is with me he gets my FULL attention I am a young single beautiful mother and live on my own and make sure there is breakfast lunch and dinner on the table for my son at all times, I bath him at all times he is with me and take him with me everywhere i go when he is with me. He says my hallway stinks of marijuana (witch is true) but only because my neighbors are pot heads and they are getting evicted they are moving next month my landlord found out they are selling drugs in the building so she evicted them! CLEARY my sons father is doing everything he can to lie on me just to win, wont it show he is trying to take my child from me because he clearly does not want to pay child support and he says he is takin me to court because I have no MONEY!!! Obviously not I only get enough to pay my rent and my mother provides the groceries since he refusees to pay child support but instead Pays the daycare teacher 800 DOLLARS a month! to do my job !! Toilet wont flush? help!?

Single story house on a slab one bathroom the toilet wont flush it just fills up and will go down real slow like an hour or two, unless you plunge it then it'll go down I had it snaked from main drain didn't do anything cleaned stink pipe to, anyone have any ideas how to fix this? Does it sound like air problem or a blockage? Also it did backup into the tub to but after I plunged it, its been working fine.

What is wrong with me??!! Please help!?

I am a a teen girl. On friday my stomach began to hurt. I was taking prednisone prescribed to me and it was listed as a side effect. I ignored it and ate normally as I would. I then had sushi from a place i had never had it from. My stomach then continued to hurt and I developed diarrhea. I couldn't sleep friday night. All of saturday I had frequent visits to the bathroom and sat on the couch all day. On sunday the same happened but the stool became more watery and appeared mucusy. At a point I saw specks of blood! Right now i go into the bathroom and nothing come out except for the gross watery mucus. :O Im freaking out should i tell my mom? If so how? Are these normal symptoms of diarrhea? On Sat. i ate and drank almost nothing. On sunday i had a sandwich and that went fine. today I've had crackers 3 glasses of water a sandwich and a cup of cereal. What disease do I have? Is this just a reaction to the sushi i ate? Please help i need to better by tomorrow i have soccer camp that we already paid for. I am getting tired of this I have been home since friday :( so far this summer stinks. this is a serious question easy 10 points i know a lot of questions but I'm really worried! Please help. I remember rushing home from school to watch Drake and Josh, my favorite show. When Drake and Josh ended, I cried. I was just so upset. After that, they disappeared. I heard that Drake Bell will be in a new movie called Grown Up Timmy Turner. So I'm looking forward to that. But Josh Peck??? What happened to him? He was hilarious! To get rid of nicotine staining and odour you need to wash down the ceiling walls and wood with a propriety cleaner such as Mangers sugar soap etc, if surfaces are still very stained after this you may need to seal with a stain block sealer befor applying the finishing paint. Sounds like a lot of hard work but should be worth it in the end and it will smell sweet!

Is the smell from my turtle tank affecting my lungs?

I recently upgraded to a larger size turtle tank which also means that it is more inconvenient to clean. I'm only able to clean it about once a month and it always smells really bad. I have a good quality filter that clears up most of the waste but it still stinks. There is also a small patch of mold on the rock that my Turtle uses to sun bathe on. How do you get motivated?

I am not usually a depressed person, but lately, I just can't get motivated to do anything that needs to be done. There's entirely too much to do at any given time, and I've been feeling like I just want to be lazy. I can't be, and it's extremely frustrating to me that I have way too many obligations. My sons father is taking me to court for SOLE CUSTODY!!?

I am 22 years old (full time mother) to a 2 and half year old beautiful boy. I am on welfare and have a nice apartment (not housing) and I also get support from my mother she has been buying me groceries for 2 and half years since my sons father refuses to pay child support. My sons father is 23 years old and has A lot of money, he has a lawyer and I don't and HE FILED COURT ON ME! We both have shared custody since we are both on the birth certificate. I am a stay at home mom, I have been taking care of my child and so has he but he started paying me $198 a month for about 5 months because my social worker demanded it. in October my sons father put my son in daycare Without My Consent!!! and stopped paying me child support all of a sudden!! I went to my social worker and they gave me a paper to show me how much he owes me in child support including the times hes missed and including INTEREST! My sons father makes me have him on the weekends now but I personally think he is doing this because his girlfirend (That he has cheated on me with when I was 7 and half months pregnant) Keeps telling him to take me to court and get SOLE custody and the court papers say he wants me to have supervised visits as if I'm some crack head or something (I DO NOT DO DRUGS) I am a good mother and take care of my son better then my sons father (his sisters and his girlfirned take care of my son and pick him up from day care since my sons father works 9-5 Job) when my son is with me he gets my FULL attention I am a young single beautiful mother and live on my own and make sure there is breakfast lunch and dinner on the table for my son at all times, I bath him at all times he is with me and take him with me everywhere i go when he is with me. I have court on Thursday at 11AM (June 30th) he lied and said i have no food in my fridge, and says my house is always dirty (I had the police investigate my house and said they have never seen a place so clean and nice since i keep my place well kept and they seen i had food in the fridge!) He says my hallway stinks of marijuana (witch is true) but only because my neighbors are pot heads and they are getting evicted they are moving next month my landlord found out they are selling drugs in the building so she evicted them! CLEARY my sons father is doing everything he can to lie on me just to win, wont it show he is trying to take my child from me because he clearly does not want to pay child support and he says he is takin me to court because I have no MONEY!!! Obviously not I only get enough to pay my rent and my mother provides the groceries since he refusees to pay child support but instead Pays the daycare teacher 800 DOLLARS a month! to do my job !! The only thing I am bringing with me is my witness's and my mother (my second sons father should I say) and the paper stating how much CHILD SUPPORT he owes me. My sons father filed for court BEHIND MY BACK but he gave me the court papers LATE (he filed for court MAY 12 2011, AND GAVE ME THE COURT PAPERS ON MAY 31st!) and kept saying he is not going to take me to court if we have a decent custody agreement HENCE why I do not have a LAWYER!!! But I don't believe I need one I am a good mother and I will be honest with the job! Who will be in the court room with us will it just be me and my sons father? or are we allowed to bring our own people?
