For girls,, can you flush thin pads?

i am at my relatives and i am staying there and i accidently flushed my thin pad, it has been a few weeks but now the bathroom smells like what my family thinks is rotten water but i think is my pad. do you think it clogged the pipe??? the water is working fine??? i am not in the situation to tell them, do you think it will float back up, would pads stink the bathroom????
