Suunto Core Backlight?

I am looking to purchase a suunto watch in the future, but have always heard the backlight stinks on them. Granted, I'm in the military and the brightest object isn't necessarily the best, but I don't want there to be a half-assed, non-existant backlight either. Does anyone have any experiance, or can you possibly post a picture of your Sunnto Core (standard display & reverse/black display) using it's backlight?
