Hello! Project or Kpop? Why is everyone so obsessed with Kpop now?

not everyone likes kpop. i have been in japan for 15 years and have not heard of a kpop band where people go crazy. so i think it is only by some americans who are obsessed with asia and they think it is cool and koreans of course.
