Being an American...?
I'm curious... After fighting a war that lasted 10 years, didn't some brainic (who gets paid for this kinda stuff) predict a depression might follow? I am shocked because, although I never expected one in my lifetime, I am not surprised. Am I the only person a bit agitated? I am angry, but I feel like ANY President, whether Democrat or Republican, would have had a difficult time fixing the damage that had already been done years ago with the previous administration and this war. I know we all want someone to be held accountable for the state of our country, but where exactly does that lie? Why are so many people angry about Obama's Health care reform? Shouldn't we want health care for every American? Shouldn't we want people who barely make enough money above the poverty line to get food and shelter for themselves and their children? Aren't we tired of the transients/homeless lying on the streets, begging and scaring people? I've been in the UK for just about a year now, and I have NEVER seen one homeless person on the streets! I have NEVER heard ANY stories about people's family or children dying because a hospital turns them away because they have no health insurance??? Don't we care about our own country and the people who live in it anymore? What happened to mano y mano (hand in hand) for my fellow brothers???
